Level 2 Food Safety in Catering

 

This qualification will give you knowledge and understanding of the importance of food hygiene, associated food hazards, good hygiene practice and controls based upon an awareness of food safety management systems. Holders will know how to maintain good practice in the handling, processing and preparation of safe food. The Level 2  Food Safety in Catering was formally known as basic/foundation food hygiene.

Level 2 Food Safety in Catering is suitable for all staff that handle food, it is recommended that all food handlers that work with high risk open foods should receive training equivalent to Level 2 within 3 months of starting the job role and should refresh periodically.

Level  2 Food Safety in Catering is typically delivered in one day (approx 6 hours + exam time)
